CNY Estate Planning Monthly Meeting:   The New York Trust Code:  Bringing Our Law into the Twenty-First Century

Co-Chair, New York State Bar Association NY Uniform Trust Code Committee

 

Topic:  Professor William LaPiana presents an overview of the soon to be enacted New York Trust Code, the set of laws governing the usage of trusts in New York.  He will speak about the history of trusts in New York, our current trust law, and the changes the New York Trust Code codifies.

 

**One CE has been granted approval by The CFP Board.  FPA-CNY is partnering with EPC to provide CE to those CFPs attending in-person.**

 

**One hour of Continuing Legal Education credit in the area of Professional Practice provided by Mackenzie Hughes LLP, a NYS CLE Accredited Provider, is available for attorneys who attend in-person. This program is appropriate for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys.  **
